Playpark are fun places for kids because there’s so much to do and other kids to have fun with.
But sometimes kids get injured at playgrounds. That’s no fun, so here are 10 ways to keep safe:
1. Take a grown-up. As kids get bigger, they like doing things on their own. Going to the playground shouldn’t be one of them, though. Grown-ups come in handy because they might spot problems at the playground, they can help you down if you get in a tight spot, and they can help if you happen to get hurt.
2. Take a good look around. If the playground has lots of trash, such as broken glass, or the equipment looks broken, don’t play there.
3. Keep your size in mind. Many playgrounds have some equipment that’s for tiny kids (like 2- to 5-year-olds) and other equipment that’s meant for older kids. Use the equipment that’s right for your age. If you squeeze yourself onto a swing for toddlers, you might get stuck. Likewise, if your tiny brother or sister starts climbing something meant for older kids, guide him or her to the tiny kid stuff.
4. Don’t go too high. Many playgrounds have tall stuff to play on, such as towers or open passageways between equipment. Don’t climb higher than you feel comfortable, and feel free to ask your grown-up if you need help getting down. Never climb up the outside of equipment, or hoist yourself up on the roof. The view might be cool, but it’s a long way down.
5. Look out below. The ideal playgrounds place down special surfacing material, such as mulch, wood chips, sand, gravel, or rubber matting. These surfaces can help soften a fall, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get hurt, especially if you tumble from a high spot.
6. Swing safely. Kids often get injured at the playground because they get hit by someone on a swing. If you’re swinging, watch out for people who might be getting too close. And if you’re travel around the playground, don’t get too close to the swingers.
7. Use your head. Sometimes you’ll see kids going headfirst down the slide or maybe two or three kids will get on a piece of equipment that’s only meant for one. Or some kids might begin goofing around and trying to near apiece other off a swing or off of a high spot. If your grown-up sees you doing this, he or she will probably say, “Knock it off. Someone’s going to get hurt.” It’s true, so try to use the playground equipment properly. And if you get stuck, or don’t know how to get down from something, call your grown-up over so he or she can help you down.
8. Report problems. If you see graffiti (when people write or paint on stuff), a broken swing, or find any other problems while you’re playing, tell your grown-up. He or she can report the problem so it can be fixed.
9. Clean up. If you bring a drink or snack to the playground, clean up your trash before you leave. When you do, the park will look nice when the next kid comes along to play and you will have shown that you’re a good playground citizen.
10. Have a great time! How can you make a good time at the playground even better? Bring a friend and only complain a tiny when it’s time to leave.

Pilates is a form of physical fitness that has had a resurgence over the past decade. Joseph Pilates of Germany originally developed Pilates in the primeval 20th century. Described as ‘contrology’, Pilates is similar to corrective exercise or medical gymnastics where the mind controls muscle movement. Pilates is a great form of exercise for a wide range of people. That is why Pilates has swiftly become one of the most favourite exercise programs in the country.
The foundation of Pilates is based on core strength. Each movement originates from the core and progresses out through the extremities. The core is prefabricated up of deep internal muscles of the abdomen and back. Due to the American diet and lifestyle, most people don’t have strong core muscles, which can be one cause of low back pain. When the core muscles are strong, they support the spine and are healthy to control superficial muscles to assist in movement. The neutral of Pilates is to develop core strength, flexibility and awareness in order to support efficient and graceful movement in apiece day life. Pilates makes people stronger, longer, leaner and increases the capability to function. Each Pilates exercise stretches, strengthens and relaxes the body to enhance natural alignment.
Joseph Pilates developed traditional Pilates using a wide range of apparatuses to guide and train the body. The original philosophy seeks to develop controlled movements that begin from the core. This increases strength, flexibility and control of the body. By providing equipment throughout apiece exercise, additional resistance builds strength. Traditional apparatus includes the Reformer, Cadillac, high chair, Wunda chair, baby chair, harm barrel, spine corrector and small barrel. Authentic Pilates encompasses six principles, which are maintained within modern day Pilates as well. Improper movements don’t benefit the body and lose their value. By concentrating on precision of movements, they will become second nature, which will carry over into apiece day activities. Much like yoga, Pilates requires a focus on breathing. Breathing increases circulation, which expels toxins and increases the intake of oxygen. Deep breathing is cleansing and invigorating. The Pilates principles define how Pilates exercise is more about calibre rather than quantity. In contemporary Pilates all exercises have modifications to adapt for all levels of fitness to maintain country or increase challenge. Even though modern Pilates breaks from tradition; trusty Pilates does the same exercise in the same order and contemporary Pilates breaks it down into parts and exercises might vary depending upon the day, teacher or clients. Modern Pilates also has added additional equipment such as small weighted balls, foam rollers, massive exercise balls, rotating disks, and resistance bands. These are more modern exercise equipment, which wage the same type of resistance training that the classic Pilates apparatus provided. Whichever style you choose, you will still benefit from developing strength, flexibility, body awareness and muscle control.

Slow and controlled, Yoga asanas are very different from the fast, bouncy motions so favourite in Western aerobics, gymnastics and other forms of exercise. Asanas (physical positions) progressively reached or mastered in 4-levels, help one to achieve the body and mind’s natural condition of being in a relaxed say of being. Regular Yoga practice means one can rest the body and mind without exerting oneself or having to place in a great deal of effort. Which means, one’s body can be totally relaxed and the mind calm, even while at work in a hectic, fast-paced workplace. There is no stress or strain on the body and no unhealthy thoughts clutter the mind.
By now it must be clear what can be called a proper Asana and what an improper one is. Hatha Yoga Pradipika gives a similar description of what an Asana is when it states: “One can achieve Sound Health, Stability, Lightness of Body and Mind with Asana”. Gherand Sanhimata, another text on Hatha Yoga has the author describing the effect of asana as “Perfecting the Stability of Body and Mind is the result of Asana”.
The other effects of practicing yoga asanas can be seen in apiece day life in increased efficiency, stamina, increased immune capacity, a calm and quiet mind, simple control over emotions, and improvement in attitude. And, it doesn’t take much to derive all the benefits of practicing yoga asanas. You can increase your knowledge base about yoga by searching online yoga books, including on spirituality and meditation. Once you are convinced that it is the right option for you, why not pick up a few yoga accessories, such as, a yoga strap, yoga block and a yoga mat to help reap the benefits of regular yoga practice!
