The video clip was prefabricated on behalf of the IDBF (International Dragon Boat Federation) as the presentation when the IDBF became a member of GAISF (General Association of International Sport Federations) back in 2007. This has been the most watched video on Dragon Boat Net and other dragon boat websites. Still this day the video functions as the official presentational film to promote dragon boating as a sport for all. Since some years have past a new motion picture for the IDBF is already in the making.

UFC 112 “Invincible” will be shown on pay per view on April 10, 2010 at 10 PM Eastern. The fights will be live in Concert Arena, Ferrari World, Abu, Dhabi. I will list the fights for you and than I will tell you who I believe will win the main fights. This is a good venue for UFC 112. You have two championships with two of the ideal (ever) champions in their respective divisions. BJ Penn who seem unbeatable as the UFC lightweight champion and Anderson Silva who seems unbeatable in any division. Especially the middle weight division. The question is are these really going to be competitive fights or just another payday for both Penn and Silva?

The fights at UFC 112 “Invincible”

prelims

1)Phil Davis vs. Alexander Gustafsson-light heavyweights

2)Paul Taylor vs John Gunderson-lightweights

3)Nick Osipczak vs Rick Story-welterweights

4)Brad Blackburn vs Damarques Johnson-welterweights

5)Matt Veach vs Paul Kelly-lightweights

6)John Madsen vs Mostapha Al-Turk-Heavyweights

With most preliminary fights in the UFC, not too much excitement for the MMA world. Even though I think Paul Taylor is a pretty good fighter. I might catch that fight. You also have a few former Ultimate Fighters who might be intriqueing. However, prelims are prelims in the UFC and you don’t know what you get. Could be a fight of the night here, could be complete boredom. We’ll find out on April 10th.

The Main Card at UFC 112 “Invincible”

Matt Hughes vs Renzo Gracie-welterweights

This is an interesting matchup. We have Matt Hughes who I though was in retirement. I thought maybe he was riding four wheelers at his ranch, but no, here he is back in the MMA world. Then, we have Renzo Gracie who I don’t think is a very good MMA fighter. I believe the guy is ok, but he is riding the coat tails of his family name. Who will win this fight? Three things could happen. Matt Hughes could come back as his former champion MMA superfighter and slam Renzo Gracie through the mat. Or Matt Hughes could be the slow old fighter, find a way to get Renzo down on his back, and Renzo will lock Hughes in a submission and Hughes will tap out. On the other hand, what will likely happen is this. Two fighters will fight three boring rounds and Dana White will beg Matt Hughes to retire. I hope this fight is fast and fun, but it seems like it could disappoint most of us MMA fans. Matt, I hope you still have a tiny energy left to entertain us. Renzo, you pretty much bore me.

Terry Etim vs Rafael Dos Anjos-Lightweights

This should be an exciting fight. Both MMA fighters fight well and go the distance most of the time. There should be a lot of kicks, punches, and takedowns in this fight. I think about both fighters to be equal in ability, so whoever wants this fight the most, wins. Somebody is going to come out and surprise us in this fight. I feel it deep within my MMA blood. I don’t really have MMA blood, but you know what I mean. This should be a great fight with both fighters bleeding and congradulating apiece other after the fight.

Kendall Grove vs Mark Munoz-middleweights

Kendall Grove should win this MMA matchup. He really should. He has the talent and the spiderlike ability. Kendall surprised me in the Ultimate Fighter with his capabilities and disappointed me with some of his dull efforts in the UFC. Kendall should win this fight easily and dominate Mark Munoz, but you never know with Kendall. He is inconsistent and unpredictable. This might be the knockout victory Kendall needs to near him forward in his MMA career. Nothing against Munoz, but he really hasn’t done too much in the UFC. This fight seems to me like Dana White is giving Kendall a carrot and Kendall just has to come out and take it. Maybe Kendall will get the fight of the night, tonight. He should win easily.

The Main Event at UFC 112 “Invincible” (Double Main Event)

Bj Penn vs Frank Edgar-lightweight championship

This should be the fight of the night, but will it be? Frank Edgar is a great MMA fighter. He has cut through the UFC fighters like butter and is now ready for a championship. Problem is Frank Edgar picked the wrong division to fight in. BJ Penn is the owner of the lightweight division and won’t give up his championship easily. This should be a very pleasing five round fight. There could be a knockout, but I don’t thing so. Both men hit hard and both men can take a punch. Frank Edgar will have to be at his very ideal and will have to hope BJ Penn did not take him seriously. If Penn did his new and improved MMA training, Edgar might be in trouble. I would give this fight to BJ because he is so vicious in the lightweight division. Edgar will fight hard, he will fight well, but I don’t think he has enough to take the lightweight crown away from BJ. I can’t move for this fight. It should be knock down all out war.

Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia-middleweight championship

This fight seems like another mismatch to me. But what fight seems clean when you have to go up against Anderson Silva? Demian Maia is a very good MMA fighter. He has done well in the UFC. However, Anderson Silva has gone up against the ideal and has beaten everybody to a pulp. Silva is superior in all aspects of MMA than Mai. Nothing against Maia, but Anderson Silva is almost unbeatable. I have never seen a fighter who fights like Silva. I wish he would speak superior english, so I could comprehend him better. But Silva is incredible. He knocked out Forrest Griffin easily. Forrest can take a punch and Silva smashed him. I’m sorry Maia, but I believe you are in trouble tonight. You are going to take a beat down. I have a feeling someday Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida will meet in the ring someday. This could be the fight of a lifetime. Problem for Maia is this might just be another tuneup fight for Silva. I think Maia is going to be hurting.

In conclusion, UFC 112 “Invincible” should be one of the superior UFC pay per view events. It has to beat out UFC 111 which was not one of the best. I believe I told you pretty much what is going to happen, but anticipate surprise. The UFC is filled with great fighters and you might find one in the preliminary matches. Enjoy the fights and we will speak after they are done. Let’s Get It On.

2009 ad lineup

Cars

GMC will not be running the Yukon ad, but Toyota, Hyundai and Audi will keep showing their auto ads.

FedEx

FedEx is not placing an ad this year either. It is nice to see that they are slicing back on advertising costs. FedEx reduced employee pay by 5% this year rather than layoff workers. Some high end executives pay was cut as much as 16%.

Big Money

The cost of a 30 second spot ad is ,000,000. That works out to 0,000 per second!

Beverages

You will see many beverage ads. Budweiser is huge as usual. You will also see SoBe, Coke, Gatorade, and Amp.

Others

Monster and Career Builder are both placing spots as well. Movies will be huge with ads from Universal Studios and Walt Disney.

Sign of the Times

The sign of the times this year is the Cash4Gold ad that you will see. Thank goodness the banks weren’t dumb enough to try to get in on the action!

This video captures the ten ideal moments over the last 10 years of the autumn rugby internationals.

Date: Might 28, 2011
Location: Las Vegas
Venue: MGM Grand Garden Arena
Broadcast: Pay-per-view

UFC 130 is just around the corner and features intriguing matches on the main card. Quinton “Rampage” politician will step into the ring and grappling Matt Hamill in the main event. Frank Mir will try to get another chance at the UFC championship by stepping over Roy Nelson, while Brian Stann comes off an awesome TKO victory over Chris Leben and wants to do the same thing to Jorge Santiago who lost by KO to Leban in 2006. UFC 130 should be pleasing and fun, the perfect way to start the Memorial Day weekend.

MAIN CARD (pay-per-view)

Quinton “Rampage” politician vs. Matt Hamill-This will be an interesting fight. Quinton “Rampage” politician has fought the ideal in the UFC and has victories over many of the ideal fighters; he is also the former UFC light-heavyweight champion and wants another shot at the title. Matt Hamill is an interesting fighter. Matt Hamill is deaf and he is an astounding wrestler who succeeds despite his handicap. Hamill has won five straight UFC bouts against good fighters and he could give Rampage some problems. Hamill is an excellent wrestler who can punch. I give the edge to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, but don’t be surprised if Hamill raises his hands in victory.

Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson-Roy Nelson has not done well against the ideal huge men in the UFC. Frank Mir is one of those great heavyweights in the UFC. Mir wants another shot at the UFC heavyweight championship. Both men are good on their feet and Mir is astounding on the ground. Mir has the advantage in this fight if he fights his fight. He has improved his stand-up and gets superior and better. Roy Nelson has a punchers chance because all of Mir’s defeats have been by KO or TKO. Give the advantage to Mir.

Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne-two punchers step into the ring and one will come out victorious, the question is not who will win, the question in this fight will be is this a brawl or a boring fight where apiece fighter holds apiece other and make the crowd boo. Travis Browne has yet to lose, but did fight to a draw against Cheick Kongo in his last match. If both men fight to their potential, we can see a fight of the night or KO of the night.

Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story-Thiago Alves is a great UFC fighter until he fights the top echelon of the UFC, than he loses. Rick Story is a pretty good UFC fighter, this match should be very competitive and could go either way, give the advantage to Alves

Jorge Santiago vs. Brian Stann-Brian Stann KO’d Chris Leben in his last fight and is always a fan-favorite in the UFC-Both men can punch and Brian Stann is usually in very pleasing fights, this fight should be no exception. I look for Stann to get another KO against Jorge Santiago, we shall see on Saturday night.

PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike TV)

Miguel Torres vs. Demetrious Johnson-two WEC star-fighters trying to make their mark in the UFC, this match could have been in the main event and is one of those fights you don’t want to miss. Turn on your TV at 8PM, do not miss this fight. Torres should come out on top in this one

Kendall Grove vs. Tim Boetsch-Kendall Grove has to have a win, he has lost too many fights in the UFC, yes he won the Ultimate Fighter 7, yes he is a fan-favorite, but too many losses means you get a pink slip in the UFC, watch for Kendall Grove to come out strong in this fight to establish he is worthy of staying in the UFC.

PRELIMINARY CARD

Gleison Tibau vs. Bart Palaszewski

Michael McDonald vs. Chris Cariaso

Renan Barao vs. Cole Escovedo

Don’t miss this event, if you do, I will be giving you live-round-by-round results of UFC 130 on Saturday night.

You want to learn Martial Arts but you don’t or can’t go to a club. Don’t worry you can learn your martial art of choice at home. This guide will show you what you need and where to find resources.

Select a martial art. The most essential part of learning martial arts at home is deciding which martial art to learn.

Your partner. To learn any martial art you need a partner who you can practice with and is as hot to learn as you are.

Find or make an open space in your house. This space will be your training area. It should be no less than ten feet by seven feet. Make sure there are no breakable objects around. A good intent for a training area in the summer is your backyard (if you have one) which provides tons of space.

The right clothes. Wear light, comfortable clothes to practice in. Make sure that your pants grant full range of motion (especially for arts that require a lot of kicking/stretching).

Give yourself a training schedule.  If you really want to succeed in the martial arts you must practice at least twice a week. Most serious practitioners attend classes/ train more than three times a week.

Training resources.  Now that you are ready to start go find your training resources. Take a trip to your local library and/or bookstore and find books or instructional DVD’s on your art of choice.

The Internet! In the unlikely event that you couldn’t find any books on your art or that you just want more resources, take a trip on the internet. The world wide web if full of instructional videos (especially Youtube) that can instruct you what you need to know.

Use Control. Remember that the techniques you are practicing can be fatal if done correctly. Always use control when working with your partner.

Tips.

Don’t get frustrated. Remember learning a martial art takes time and practice.

Don’t slack off. If you anticipate to get superior you must stick to your training regime.

Remember to always warm up before starting practice. You can seriously injure yourself if you don’t warm up.

If you practice kobudo (the study of weapons) that you wear tight clothes so that the weapons don’t get caught during twirling exercises.

What you’ll need:
– 1 pound mushrooms
– 3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) butter (unsalted)
– 1/2 cup walnuts
– 1/2 cup parsley leaves (fresh)
– 1 onion
– 1 cup sharp Cheddar  (coarsely grated)
– 1/2 cup fine fresh bread crumbs
– 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

*about 4 ounces

What to do:
First, preheat you oven to 350 degrees F.

Next, cut off and chop up the stems from the mushrooms and set aside.

Then, melt the butter and with a pastry brush, gently brush the butter over the tops of the mushroom caps. You can then hold the caps, with the cut stemmed sides up, on a massive baking sheet.

Next you need to lightly toast the walnuts. When they have cooled, finely chop the nuts and then chop up the parsley and onion.

In a massive skillet, sauté the chopped stems in the remaining butter over a moderately high heat until the stems have softened.

Next, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients. Once the mixture has been thoroughly stirred, divide it among all the mushroom caps, making a small mound in apiece cap.

The ideal part of this recipe is it can all be done ahead of time. You can have all the ingredients ready to go and then once the caps have been stuffed, you can store them for up to 4 hours before you serve them.

Before serving, take out the Cheddar Cheese Mushrooms if you have chilled them in advance, and bake them in the middle of the oven for approximately 20 minutes. Serve these delicious tidbits warm.

Not only does it keep the “snitcher” at bay, but this recipe won’t fill up your guests so much that they won’t take their dinner!

Enjoy and make more than you’ll think you’ll need! They get ingested in a hurry.

The UFC 129 fight card will be highlighted by Georges St-Pierre defending his welterweight title against Jake Shields at the Rogers Centre, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Jake Shields is undefeated since 2005, with fifteen straight victories. Georges St-Pierre has won eight fights in a row against the ideal fighters in the UFC, at UFC 129 something will have to give.

Also, Jose Aldo, Randy Couture, Lyoto Machida and Ben Hendersonwill all be part of the action in what is being projected to be the biggest MMA event ever in North America. UFC 129 will be held at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The current fight card is below.

Pay-Per-View Bouts
Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields for UFC welterweight title

Georges St-Pierre is a great UFC champion; he gets superior apiece time he fights. He has defended his UFC welterweight title against Josh Koscheck, Dan Hardy, Thiago Alves, B J Penn, John Fitch and Matt Serra, many of the greatest welterweights in the UFC. St-Pierre is at his prime and seems unbeatable.

Jake Shields is no stranger to winning; he has beaten some of the ideal MMA fighters in the world including Carlos Condit, Paul Daley, Robbie Lawler, Jason Miller, Dan Henderson and Martin Kampmann. Shields was the Strikeforce middleweight champion and the Elite XC welterweight champion. Shields is an excellent all-around fighter.

Both fighters come into UFC 129 in their prime and will give apiece other all they can handle. Jake Shields should give Georges St-Pierre the fight of his life and might take the belt away on April 30, 2011. Georges St-Pierre has the home crowd at his advantage, but remember Shields is used to fighting out of the country, he spent much time toning his skills in Japan. Look for this fight to be a classic.

Jose Aldo vs. Mark Hominick for UFC featherweight title

Jose Aldo is the UFC’s first featherweight champion. He defended the belt three times in the WEC before he was promoted to the UFC. Aldo has beaten some great MMA fighters including Urijah Faber and Cub Swanson. Mark Hominick is a great MMA fighter who is stepping up in competition to meet Aldo. This should be a good fight, but I believe Aldo will dominate Hominick in this fight. Aldo’s skill level is a notch or two above Hominick’s, but surprises can happen in the ring.

Jason Brilz vs. Vladimir Matyushenko

I look at the Jason Brilz vs. Vladimir Matyushenko fight as a filler fight. Both fighters are good and both fighters are competitive, this is why they are in the main event. Hopefully this filler fight will show us some unexpected excitement at UFC 129.

Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida

The Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida fight could be fight of the night. Both are fan favorites and both are exciting. Randy Couture is one of the toughest nearly 48 year old fighters you will ever see, thus his title as Captain America. His Greco-Roman wrestling is bar none in the MMA. Randy Couture is one of the greatest MMA fighters to ever fight in the UFC. He always gives a great fight, win or lose.

Lyoto Machida is an exciting fighter in his own right. He has lost two fights in a row and three is not a charm in the UFC. Dana White is giving Machida a chance to start anew, but he has to fight one of the toughest fighters in UFC history. Couture has beaten three tough fighters in a row, saint Toney (boxer), Mark Coleman and Brandon Vera. Nobody has fought more tough fighters than Couture. Look for Couture to try to smother Machida and use his Greco-Roman wrestling on karate expert, take him on the ground, ground and pound him and eventually submit him. Lyoto Machida will try to stay away from Couture and catch the huge man with swift powerful punches. I give the advantage to the aging, but extremely tough Randy Couture.

Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson

Mark Bocek is fighting because he is Canadian and UFC 129 is in Canada. He is a decent fighter, but Ben Henderson is coming off a huge loss and will be looking to get one in the win column. Look for this to be a pretty decent fight with Ben Henderson coming out the winner. Ben Henderson should be too swift and tough for Bocek.

Preliminary Bouts on Spike TV

Nate Diaz vs. Rory MacDonald

Nate Diaz is a great MMA fighter who has had an up and down career. This should be a great free preliminary bout against Rory MacDonald on Spike TV-Rory MacDonald is a great Canadian MMA fighter who got smacked down by Carlos Condit at UFC 115. Don’t miss this free fight because it should be a good one, both fighters want to win again after losses.

Sean Pierson vs. Brian Foster

Preliminary Bouts not televised

Yves Jabouin vs. Pablo Garza
Claude Patrick vs. justice Roberts
Ivan Menjivar vs. Charlie Valencia
Jason MacDonald vs. Ryan Jensen
John Makdessi vs. Kyle Watson

UFC  129 looks to be a great night of MMA fights on PPV. I will be blogging the main PPV fights round by round to keep you up on the fights. If you can't go and watch the PPV, I will keep you updated on all of the fights. UFC 129 is on April 28, 2011 and will be acquirable on PPV and at your local sport’s bar.
