Welcome to Rugby's New Correctional & Rehabilitation Center.

NCCRC is a new facility currently under construction in the Industrial Park in Rugby, ND. This facility has been designed by ICON Architects of Grand Forks, ND to support 89 persons in corrections and 40 persons in the substance abuse treatment unit. This 129-bed Class I facility will employ the latest state of the art technology with video conferencing, 911 dispatch and surveillance. The corrections/rehabilitation facility is expected to be operational by the summer of 2006.

NCCRC is a product of cooperation and partnership between many entities and groups in the State of North Dakota. This multi-county institution will support the needs of our partnering counties of Pierce, Wells, McHenry and Bottineau. It will also serve the needs of the U.S. Marshal's Service, the U.S. Dept. of Probations, and the State of North Dakota. NCCRC will also serve as the new law enforcement center for the Pierce County Sheriff's Dept. and Rugby City Police Dept.

Opening the field of corrections to the dynamics of rehabilitation concentration is a new, bold move for Pierce County and the State of North Dakota. This facility will not only serve the needs of corrections for prisoners but will concentrate on substance abuse using the best practices that have been developed by the state and promote correctional strategies with the best interest in mind. NCCRC is looking forward to a bright future.
